Juniors

Welcome to our thriving juniors section. We run training sessions for all ages and all abilities on Mondays and Tuesdays at our all weather pitch in Totnes. These sessions are all about having fun, being part of a team and developing hockey skills. You will be very welcome to just show up at training one week and give it a go – the regular weekly training runs September – March inclusive, starting from Sunday 4th September, with breaks over Autumn and Spring half terms and Christmas.

We also enter our junior teams into local competitions so there's plenty of opportunities to progress should any of our juniors be interested.

We try to create as many development opportunities for our juniors including specific training sessions for anyone interested in goal keeping.

All our coaches are qualified and practice in line with standards set by England Hockey. All coaches are also fully DBS checked.

For the regular sessions if you can’t get in touch with any of us you can just turn up on the day, but it is better for you to try and chat to one of the coaches (see junior contacts list below for details) just in case we are going to be away at a fixture, or sessions are cancelled for any reason (and be sure to check details around the school holidays).

Which Age Group and Training Session should I attend?

We organise ourselves into 2 training sessions

Monday 18.00-19.30

Under 12s (Year 1- Year 7)

Tuesday 18.00-19.00

Over 13s (Year 8- Year 9)

After Year 9 our Juniors have the option to join our Women's and Men's team who train at 18.30 to 21.00 on a Tuesday
