It has been a great start to the Summer League with all three teams having played two games each. Here is the roundup from the all the action so far.
The Knights have got off to a flying start, winning both of their first two games. The first, a 3-1 victory vs Tamar, featured outstanding goals from Gabe Riedlinger & Jack Piercy. They then went on to win 4-1 against Marjon the following week in a tough and well fought game. The Knights are back in action next Tuesday down at Marjon Ansley.
The Vaders got off to a rocky start in their first game, losing 4-0 to Rockey Hockey PS, but showed put together some great stretches of play. In their following game, the Vaders beat Tavi Tigers 2-1, with goals from Hywel Williams and Millie Snodin, and an outstanding performance between the sticks from Trish Hughes. The Vaders are back in action tomorrow, taking on Devonport Services.
Dashing kicked off their summer with a very close game against Tavi, coming up just short 4-3. There was some fantastic play though and the youngsters looked confident and skilled. They had a frustrating 3-1 loss last week against Devonport Services, but the rest of the summer looks bright for Dashing with the team building great chemistry.
